Key points of research results：

The first line of defense in our immune systems are white blood cells, 40% to 70% of which are neutrophils. The neutrophils produce bactericidal glycoproteins during their maturation and stores them in cells, and use these bactericidal glycoproteins to promote inflammation and attack invading microbes.
The glycan structure of bactericidal glycoproteins was unknown, but as a result of this study, it was found that it is highly unusual glycans.
This discovery is a valuable resource for understanding the biological role of the origin of intracellular responses and contributes to the understanding of immune responses in normal people and leukemia patients.
