Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Tokai National Higher Education and Research System(THERS; consists of Nagoya University and Gifu University) aims to become a regional, national and international development and research hub in the fields where the System can demonstrate its strong advantages and competitiveness.
We would like to recruit a scientist who has expertises in omics analysis including proteomics, transcriptomics, and genomics, ideally together with glycomics. In addition, the scientist plays a role in research management including domestic and international cooperation among academia and/or industry, as well as eduation, outreach, and operation in the institution.
Work content and job description
Responsible for the following research and research management tasks.
1. Cutting edge omics research including glycomics and glycoproteomics.
2. Research in the Human Glycome Atlas Project (HGA) (https://human-glycome-atlas.org/en/)
and collaborative research in the J-Glyconet collaborative network (https://j-glyconet.jp).
3. Obtain and maintain funding to support the candidate’s research program
4. Research management in iGCORE, such as domestic and international cooperation among academia and/or industry
5. Education, outreach activities, and institutional service
