On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, an agreement on the promotion of collaboration and cooperation was signed between Aichi Developmental Disability Center and Tokai National Higher Education and Research System. The agreement was signed by Governor Hideaki Omura of Aichi Prefecture and Dr. Seiji Matsuo, Director of the Tokai Organization, in the presence of representatives from Aichi Prefecture, Aichi Developmental Disability Center, Tokai National Higher Education and Research System and iGCORE. As representatives of iGCORE, Dr. Kenji Kadomatsu and Dr. Tetsuya Okajima were present at the ceremony.
Under this agreement, iGCORE will analyze patient blood samples collected by Aichi Developmental Disability Center and compare the results with clinical data to advance research on rare and undiagnosed diseases. The goal is to uncover disease mechanisms and develop diagnostic and treatment methods.
iGCORE will further strengthen its glycan research capabilities through joint studies, researcher exchanges, and human resource development in collaboration with Aichi Developmental Disability Center.
